OK, I'd love to put that together, but I'll admit that I probably would never use it myself. I think that more people would take advantage of the internal power if there were an intermediate "wizard" to help guide them through it. Modules of standard opcodes could be dropped in samples overlaid on only those parameters that could benefit from that variable and radio-dial modules and all of it interconnected with flowchart-type lines (if appropriate). But how about a compromise? I'm looking into putting together a modular approach: think Tassman, or even SynthEdit. Īnd maybe a full-blown graphical editor would be difficult to keep current, and anything too fancy complicates the expansion process. sfz format were all in one place for reference.

Perhaps if all the new opcodes in Dimension's version of the expanded. soundfonts are similar to Reason refill format. I happen to like this approach myself, but you have to wrap your head around the opcodes and variables first to make the process feel smooth and second-nature. Using Notepad allows you to maintain a flexible format that can be expanded at will, and yet can be manipulated by everyone. You know, I can see both sides to this "argument".
